Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: F/T Friday-Monday  in Kailua Kona, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location. You will conduct routine patrols throughout assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to travelers, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials and/or permits as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate airport personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
