Job Description:
We are seeking a Counselor for an inpatient locked psychiatric program. Counselors work in teams to provide treatment programming and daily care assistance to court committed forensic residents.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a H.S. diploma with at least 1 year experience with mental health or related care providing field.
B.A. preferred.

Responsibilities:
Assists in group work and activities for assigned residents.
Provides weekly, monthly, and PRN documentation in resident record.
Assures and documents group attendance for each participant for assigned caseload.
Co-facilitates and assists in group counseling per program schedule.
Provides input in weekly rounds, quarterly meetings, and discharge planning.
Assures patients ADL's are complete and carrying out general unit functions.
Attends all weekly mandatory staff and in-service meetings.
Performs assigned daily duties.
Monitors patient safety.
Assists with non-violent crisis management.
Carries out interventions specified on the patient care plan.
Treats all patients with dignity and respect.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, program director, and administrator.
