Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server engineering and administration.
• Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups, Windows Server Failover Clustering, backup and restore, and performance tuning.
• Advanced T-SQL skills, including troubleshooting complex scenarios.
• Experience managing large fleets of production databases across multiple customer environments.
• Proficiency with Git-based source control and database change workflows.
• Ability to lead production incident response and conduct postmortem analysis.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and selecting appropriate tools and methods.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support data engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted outputs before use, escalate when uncertain, and follow data-handling requirements.
• Preferred: Experience supporting portfolio management, trading, or financial systems.
• Preferred: Background in database DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design, and release governance.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure and GCP SQL Server VM operations.
• Preferred: Experience defining platform programs, charters, KPIs, and operational metrics.
• Preferred: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience developing reports with SQL Server Reporting Services, Excel, or Metabase.
• Preferred: Experience collaborating with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical specifications.

• Administer PMS SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments.
• Design, maintain, and improve platform architectures for on-premises, Azure VM, and Google Cloud Platform SQL Server instances.
• Establish and uphold standards for database availability, performance, security, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain SQL Server instances in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Manage performance tuning, indexing, replication, encryption, and secure configuration standards.
• Oversee high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Always On and clustering.
• Implement and maintain database monitoring, capacity planning, cost optimization, and scaling strategies.
• Administer backup and restore processes using SQL Server tools, PowerShell, and automation frameworks.
• Provision, configure, and support GCP database services.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate data pipeline and design analysis and documentation, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices to improve SDLC quality for data pipelines, including test generation and control validation, while maintaining traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security.
